MAKE A Home Studio has always been committed to exploring new things and collecting a variety of different materials, craftsmanship and hardware to bring customers as many choices as possible for custom-made furniture.

However, we only choose materials with no health issues. Please review the material options below first and when you visit us we will select the most suitable option for you.

E0 grade melamine faced OSB - OSB, a short form of oriented strand board. Its consistent structure keeps dry-shrinkage at low level and is less prone to warping, so it is suitable for making longer cabinet door panels.

 

E0 grade melamine faced plywood - Plywood is made of multiple layers of thin wooden boards pressed and stacked in a cross-grain pattern. With very good nail and screw holding capabilities, it contributes a lot to furniture manufacturing. Has a moderate tendency to bend and warp - better than longitudinal blockboard but worse than OSB. The overlapping structure implies quite a great weight, which brings considerable difficulties to on-site construction.

 

E0 grade melamine faced oak finger joint timber board - Using oak wide block as core material, it is porpular in the high-end market and has many advantages. It has strong nail holding force, strong hardness, not easy to bend and great in load-bearing. That is why it is suitable for making large cabinets. However, due to its heavy weight, there will be certain losses during the manufacturing process

 

High pressured laminates(HPL) - as a robust laminate, it is made by fusing layers under heat and high pressure. the top layer is transparent melamine coated paper with special resin for fire-resistance. The factory or decoration master manually glues the laminate on the blockboard to make the kitchen cabinets.

Core-board/Blockboard - The core of the board is made of two thin wood layers connected by solid wood strips. It has lighter weight and stronger vertical support than plywood, making it a favorite in the traditional renovation industry. Long boards made from lengthwise strips of wood are more susceptible to moisture and warping. Although transverse cutting consumes more materials and is limited in size, long boards cut with transverse wood strips are less likely to bend. Due to their hardness, they can be carved into molded products. The transversely-cut-boards have a certain hardness and they can be carved into moldings.
